North West Young Chef of The Year
The 2011 edition has come to an end. Winner of the Young Chef Competition 2011 is Andrew Postlethwaite, chef de partie at the Castle Green Hotel, Kendal. The competition invites emerging talent to create a meal based on (though not restricted to) regional and seasonal foods and specialties. Brian helped establish the competition and has been its Chairman since its inception, he is proud of the fact that over 300 young chefs and 100 judges have been involved and continue to support it. Game Course for Chefs
This is a two and a half day game course in the middle of the Cheshire countryside where the natural habitat allows participants to see the animals first hand as well as the rearing of birds.
The game course is designed to offer professionals a balanced combination of theory, hands-on sessions, live specialised demonstrations such as butchery, plucking, drawing and skinning of game, a walking tutorial on habitat, tasting sessions and wine matching. Beat the Competition
During his career, Brian has been involved in competing and judging national and international cookery competitions, helping Chefs benchmark their skills, gain recognition and enhance their CV’s.
